Rachael’s veterinary career began in 2012 as a volunteer kennel assistant at Garland Road Small Animal Hospital in Winslow, Maine. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Unity College while working as a customer service representative, veterinary technician, manager, then practice manager at Garland Road.

Rachael first joined the Rarebreed family in December 2019 when they partnered with Garland Road. Now part of the Business Transformation Team, she is eager to help new veterinary hospitals join the growing Rarebreed family.

Rachael lives on a small farm in rural Maine. Her interest in wildlife research led her to Minnesota for research with wolves and bears, and to Pennsylvania for elk calf research. In her free time, Rachael enjoys working with her own animals, which include multiple cows, two Golden Retrievers, Bennett and Riley, Cali the cat, and Bonk the rabbit.
