Veterinary Operations Department

Dr. Horn cannot recall a particular moment during which she realized she wanted to be a veterinarian; it was simply her calling. She pursued her undergraduate studies at Bowdoin College, and it was during her time there that she fell in love with the great state of Maine.

Dr. Horn studied veterinary medicine at Ross University and spent her clinical year at Cornell University. She then completed an internship at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists before moving back to Maine, where she’s been working ever since.

Years of playing field hockey, beginning in middle school and continuing through her collegiate years, is what Dr. Horn credits with teaching her the value of teamwork and support. She realizes these virtues are crucial to success and happiness in both life and work. Rarebreed has given her the opportunity to combine her passion for veterinary medicine with her desire to support those around her.
