Fun Fact: At one point Peg and her husband owned/drove the tallest Belgian mare in the state of Maine.

Peg has worked in veterinary practices, managed an animal shelter, worked in technical support for IDEXX Labs, and owned/managed a pet services and feed/supply business that offered pet boarding and grooming, nutritional consulting, and municipal animal shelter services. Peg taught animal science and veterinary technology and built a veterinary technology program and an animal care/management program at the local community college. Peg has written two products for Cengage Learning and published several peer-reviewed articles in JAVTE. She currently serves on the board of directors for the Maine State Society for Protection of Animals, is a member of the York County Animal Rescue Team, and is the current president of the Maine Veterinary Technician Association.

Peg lives on a small farm in Berwick, Maine, with her husband, youngest son, and their dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, ducks, and geese. Peg also enjoys yoga, running, gardening, and doing fun stuff with her kids and grandkids.
