If you’ve spent any time in the veterinary industry, you know that it’s a close-knit community where people genuinely love their jobs and, of course, our beloved pets. This extends far beyond veterinary teams to include many of our vendors and suppliers, like Purina.
Recently, Purina approached our team with an amazing offer we couldn’t refuse. They graciously sponsored an all-expense-paid trip for 30 of us from different parts of the United States to visit the Purina headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri to learn about the benefits of Purina food for pets’ nutrition. It was truly an inspiring experience. Here are some of the memorable highlights:
Day one kicked off with a delightful welcome dinner at Clark & Bourbon where the food was fantastic
Day two was packed with excitement as we headed to Purina Farms. There, we had the opportunity to meet the manager, explore the entire facility, take a spin around the grounds on a tractor, and drop in at the Visitor Center, barn, and gift shop.
The icing on the cake was witnessing a fantastic dog show. Later, Jill Perry talked ingredients with us.
Next, we made our way to the Purina Institute, where we were treated to enlightening CE courses by Dr. Steve Cohn and Dr. Emily. We ended the day on a high note watching the St. Louis Cardinals claim victory!
On day three we were back at Purina Headquarters where we got an inside look at the Pilot Plant and Quality Assurance Lab.
The best part of this entire experience was gaining a deeper understanding of pet nutrition and the importance of selecting the right diet for our clients.
We can’t thank Purina enough for this incredible and generous opportunity. Our team was truly overjoyed!
